Life with Chuck tells the continuing story of how God loves each of us and is working in all of our lives. The story centers on Chuck Peterson and shows how God uses Chuck’s friendship with Ted Carpenter, a Christian friend, in His redemptive plan for Chuck and his family. Life with Chuck is an entertaining look at faith, family, and friendship. Roles: Chuck Peterson: (Casted) Chuck is a rough around the edge, blue collar auto parts manager that loves NASCAR Racing. He has a rough, scratchy voice and is a little hard to live with but is overall rather loveable. He loves his wife and family, but feels his life is mostly about him and his needs. Chuck is ignorant of God’s purpose for his life, but he starts to learn this through his friendship with his new friend Ted Carpenter. Carol Peterson: (F / 35-45 Caucasian) Carol is your typical loving, sweet, supportive wife that accepts Chuck the way he is, regardless of his obnoxious ways. She is a little more polished and dignified than Chuck, but has her sassy, strong side as well. She takes Chuck’s lead often, but has a mind of her own as well. She finds her identification as a wife and mom. Chuck and Carol have two kids, Billy, their 10 year old son and Maddy Peterson their 4 year old daughter. Billy Peterson: (M / 9-11 Caucasian) Billy is the son to Chuck and Carol. Billy loves sports and has the typical pre-adolescent hot and cold relationship with his parents. Must have on camera experience and training. Maddy Peterson: (F / 3-5 Caucasian) Maddy is Chuck’s “Little Darlin” who brightens the room with her presence. She must be self bright and cheery, confident, comfortable in unfamiliar surroundings and follow directions well. Experience is a plus, but not required. Ted Carpenter (M/35-45 any ethnicity) Ted is a middle class Christian man that is authentic in his walk with God, but is not overbearing while sharing God’s love with people. Ted is a giving man that is community focused, which is evident in his job as a high school teacher. God has laid Chuck on his heart and he endeavors to take a common man’s approach in ministering to the Petersons. Ted typically plays the straight man to Chuck’s obnoxious and comedic nature. Beth Carpenter: (F / 35-45 any ethnicity) Beth is typically the sweet, quiet and supportive wife that gives focus to building ministry friendships and “Being Jesus” to Chuck and Carol. Her friendship with Carol is similar and parallel to that of Chuck and Ted’s. Ted and Beth have 2 kids, Jimmy Carpenter their 10 year old son, and Emily Carpenter their 5 year old daughter.
