Director of Theater and Film Department - Grades K-12th

Final Act Drama is looking to expand and grow its award winning Theater and Film programs for students in grades K - 12.  

The Director of the Theater and Film Department for grades K-12 will develop, promote, administer, and execute all responsibilities needed to successfully grow and facilitate this popular and essential program for our company. 

Responsibilities, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated knowledge of teaching to multiple grade levels the subject of Drama, Theater, Acting, Film Production.  The successful candidate will be expected to teach and/or create courses like:
Beginning and advanced acting, movie making, choreography, comedy, musical theater, acting for the camera, voice/speech for the actor, theater history and Introduction to Theater.   Director is also expected to contribute to the development of curriculum for on going courses. 
Director will provide leadership and initiative in leading the department  in  administration, instruction, acquisition of new students, clients and partners, leadership with show productions.  Provide instruction in accordance with established course outlines and expectations;maintain regular office hours, and sales connections.
Candidates must possess: a commitment to encouragement of learning and an enthusiastic attitude toward teaching; sensitivity to teach students from diverse cultural, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds who may have wide ranges of abilities, including the disabled.
Willingness to participate in building new clients 
Dedication to a student-based performing arts program.
Experience with curriculum development and innovative  programs.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Drama/Theater arts/performance 
2 years in a teaching capacity

​Preferred Qualifications: 

Master’s or master of fine art's in drama/theater arts/performance 
4 years in a teaching capacity.
