What do our students think about our course.....

I really enjoyed both classes that i took with Final Act Drama.  I have more confidence and am able to express myself openly.   These classes have helped me come out of my shell.  THANK YOU!!!   -  Tasha Bullock

Since I can remember I have always enjoyed acting.  But  I had become shy, inward and depleted of confidence.  I was unhappy and was not myself, only to watch many others move forward with their gifts.  Denying a gift is a terrifying thing, and eventually you decide to continue putting off your talents and be miserable or pursue your talents wholeheartedly.  I decided to take a step forward by enrolling in a Stage & Screen Acting course for adults with Final Act Drama.  I was 29 and terrified that perhaps it was too late.  What I found was a welcoming and encouraging environment that spurred on my talent and invoked a joy for character development.  I have since taken three adult acting classes at Final Act Drama. Aside from meeting what I consider life long friends, the classes have made me more confident in many situations, not just acting, and I now have the courage to move forward in my acting career.  Russ, you believed in me and pointed me to many resources, and I have had so much fun!  Thank you for everything!   -Micah Alex

It was a great experience for me...very entertaining and challenging at the same time! - Bipin Lekshmanan

I learned more about my own acting ability than I thought I would.  I had a fun time and I met great people.  I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn and expand their horizons. - Aline Geryes

I thoroughly enjoyed the Adult Screen Acting class.  I had an opportunity to work with some extraordinary actors who showed wonderful raw talent that Russ helped hone.  He provided guidance and direction in an environment that was fun and dynamic.  He is well versed in the film industry with an innate sense of what a scene requires.  I had a particular quirk on screen that he was able to identify and help resolve.  I am now much more confident when I audition.  Thank you Russ!

Improvisation & Character Development
The Screen Actor's Toolbox Series - Course 201
Register by the week before class starts to receive your free class journal ($12 value)

The set is ready! The crew has prepared the lights, make-up, props, wardrobe, and sound.   The camera is speeding and you hear that word you’ve been waiting for…...ACTION!   Are you ready?  You know the lines, but do you know who your character is?  Why do they do what they do and say?  How do they feel and think?  What motivates them? Does your face and body say the same thing that your lines do?  The actor’s responsibility is to create a real, believable, interesting character within the frame work of a scripted story.  It has been said that acting is responding to stimuli in imagined circumstances in an imaginative, dynamic manner that is stylistically truthful to the character and his environment so as to communicate ideas and emotions to an audience.  This 5-week acting course will help you to deliver on set!  Many of our students have landed roles in independent and feature film roles with major production companies.
